Pillar Coaster

Home › Freeform marble runs
A freeform run wanders across the printer bed in loops and bends, held up by fins with pointed arches (like a Roman aqueduct) or by thin pillars (like a roller coaster). Every seed makes a different run.
Each preset opens in the generator, ready to tweak, test and download.
| Wildness | From gentle curves to a tangle of loops. |
|---|---|
| Tightest turn | Measured in ball diameters. Tighter turns need more banking. |
| Supports | Fins (with arches, pier width and band thickness) or pillars (with spacing and radius). |
| Fill printer bed | Use the whole bed, or set your own width and depth. |
| Seed | Roll the dice for a new layout with the same settings. |
Every style also lets you pick your printer, marble size (6 mm BBs to 25 mm shooters), groove shape, slope, wall height, base plate, label and colours.
Freeform runs are low and wide, so they stick to the bed well and rarely need a brim. Aqueduct fins are stronger; pillars use less filament and look lighter. Slice with supports off, 0.2 mm layers and 3–4 walls. The full print guide covers slicer settings and troubleshooting.
